The Submissive Patient
Are you the type who strongly believes that doctors know best? Do you find comfort in the thought of having a doctor take control over your pregnancy, calling all the shots while using cutting-edge technology and procedures tested through time? Then the perfect practitioner for you may be an obstetrician who likes to stick to traditional practice.
The Patient Who Takes the Lead
Are you the type who likes to take the lead over your own body and health issues? Do you do your own research and would wish to have your say when it comes to your pregnancy? Then the traditional type may not be your best choice. You should go for a practitioner who is willing to hear you out and would actually allow you to call the shots.
The Patient Who Likes Balance
If you are looking for a partnership between you and your practitioner, or the type of relationship where you hear each other out and make the decisions together, then you must choose a practitioner who is neither controlling nor submissive. You must go for someone who is willing to hear out your suggestions and actually concede with them, while holding on to what he/she may perceive is necessary and ultimately unbendable.
