Fifth Month of Pregnancy: The Symptoms You May Encounter

The symptoms you will be feeling this month are not all that different from last month’s, though you will be experiencing new ones.
Physical Symptoms
- Indigestion
- Flatulence
- Heartburn
- Bloating
- Constipation
- Occasional headaches
- Occasional dizziness or possible faintness
- Increased appetite
- Whitish vaginal discharge increases
- Pink toothbrush, or bleeding gums
- Occasional nosebleeds
- Nasal congestion
- Ear stuffiness
- Hemorrhoids
- Mild swelling of feet and ankles, sometimes of hands and feet too
- Fetal movement
- Leg cramps
- Faster heart rate
- Backache
- Navel protrudes
- Skin color changes, mainly on the face and abdomen
- Easier or sometimes more difficult orgasm (Oh my!)
And there’s no way you will miss the emotional symptoms..
- Absentmindedness
- Mood swings decrease, but occasional irritability and weepiness may continue
- A deepening bite at reality, about the pregnancy that is
And let’s not forget the good news—the symptoms are not universal!
