Eighth Month of Pregnancy: The Symptoms You May Encounter
The following symptoms are not all that different from last month’s. And you’ll be happy to hear that you will hardly feel most of them anymore, as you are likely to have already gotten used to them by now. Moreover, you may not feel some of them at all.
Physical Symptoms
- Indigestion
- Flatulence
- Heartburn
- Bloating
- Constipation, increased
- Occasional headaches
- Occasional dizziness or possible faintness
- Whitish vaginal discharge, increasingly heavy
- Pink toothbrush, or bleeding gums
- Occasional nosebleeds
- Nasal congestion
- Ear stuffiness
- Hemorrhoids
- Mild swelling of feet and ankles, sometimes of hands and feet too
- fetal movement, now strong and regular
- Leg cramps
- Backache
- Navel protrudes
- Enlarged breasts
- Itchy abdomen
- Shortness of breath, increasing
- Clumsiness, increasing
- Difficulty sleeping
- Pelvic pressure, achiness
- Colostrum, possible leaking from nipples
- Increasing Braxton Hicks, practice contractions
Emotional Symptoms
- Absentmindedness increases
- Eagerness for pregnancy to be finally over
- Increased excitement
- Increased apprehension, mostly about the baby’s health, motherhood and delivery
And the same old good news—Most symptoms are not universal!
Relax and make your pregnancy the joyous occasion that it is!
