The Japanese Culture

The culture surrounding the Japanese has always been associated with mystery and folklore. It is seeped in tradition and has a strong heritage. The culture has also been influenced by many traditions of other cultures. They have gathered traditions from India, China, Europe and America. While many of their traditions have held fast over the years, there have been many new cultural aspects that have been added. Many of these cultural exchanges have been brought to Japan through trade and simply when individuals chose to make Japan their home.

The language of the Japanese has played a long and lasting role in the culture of the country. The language of Japan is also spoken in many other communities, where individuals who are descendants or have moved from Japan live. There are many people that choose to still keep their native language alive, speaking it whenever there is someone to converse with.

Another part of the culture is Japanese art. Their forms of art include paintings, calligraphy and sculptures. Calligraphy is a traditional form of writing that is well known in China Japan and other Asian countries. While calligraphy is an art form in itself, it also contains other forms of art. What is written with calligraphy may be a poem, a story, a well known phrase or simply a single character. This form of writing is not easy to learn and many who try have to make several attempts at the writing to make it perfect. Japanese cuisine, Japanese music and the Japanese style of living are also elements that make this country unique.

It is important to many Japanese individuals, even if they have moved from Japan to other places, to continue to speak their language whenever possible. This could include individuals who live in a community that is mostly made up of individuals from Japan or those simply keeping the language alive within their own family. This is partially due to the fact that the language is such a large part of the culture. While most of the language has stayed true to form over the years, there are aspects that have changed. Other cultures introduced their own vocabulary to the people of Japan and many words have taken on a life of their own, no matter what culture they are from.
